Mr. Rateau is a proud product of Miami-Dade County Public Schools and a distinguished graduate of North Miami Senior High School. His deep-rooted connection to the community fuels his passion for educational excellence and student achievement.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the prestigious Florida A&M University, where he developed a strong foundation in leadership and academic rigor. Committed to lifelong learning and professional growth, Mr. Rateau went on to obtain his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University.

Mr. Rateau began his career with Miami-Dade County Public Schools in 2006 and has dedicated nearly two decades to empowering students and transforming school communities. For the past four years, he served with distinction as the principal of Golden Glades Elementary School, where he led with vision, compassion, and a relentless commitment to student success.

Now serving as the proud Principal of North Dade Middle School, Mr. Rateau brings a wealth of experience, a heart for the community, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every child. A lifelong educator, he is deeply committed to fostering a culture of excellence, equity, and innovation.

Above all, Mr. Rateau is a devoted father to two beautiful children who inspire his work every single day. He leads with purpose, serves with integrity, and remains steadfast in his mission to uplift, educate, and empower the next generation of leaders.
